| Ok a sliguky better day today still windy but dry thank god ! Still took us 7 hours though as our legs just did not want to work i think yesterday drained them early start tomorrow ready to cross the border ! Passports at the ready ! | ||

| Today (the 13th) was absolute hell 90 odd miles in torrential rain it took us just over 11 hrs ! To be honest we were both ready to throw in the towel he it were not for the support of sarah | ||

| The miles are clocking up now but the weather is not helping us still got very strong head winds and the forcast for the next few days is more of the same still anyway on to tyneside tomorrow only 60 miles so should be ok if the rain holds off | ||

| Halfway today was newark on trent which was very picturesque but to an honest we were not very interested in sight seeing as we just wanted to get the 80 miles done ! Thankfully we got to the end of today and the heavens opened shortly after anyway 90 odd miles tomorrow and the weather is supposed to be wind and rain again ! So we are leaving really early to avoid the big winds in the afternoon | ||

| Wish we could hitch a lift ! Today was a day of rain and wind and we were glad to see the campervan at market bosworth at the end of today . We stopped of at lemington spa cancer research shop and had lunch.We have 2 long days ahead both go the region of 100 miles i just hope its dry ! | ||

| What a day we were looking forward to a flat day which it was but we had an evil headwind 8 hours of pedaling and 78 miles later we got to pershore another long day ahead tomorrow and the weather man says more headwinds ! Wish us luck ! | ||

| Day 3 and to be honest were sick of hills thankfully this afternoon is flatter along the grand western canal but just our luck were into a headwind our stop at tiverton cancer research shop went well also and we met some charming ladies at the shop who looked after us with tea and biscuits | ||
